復原修繕基金        CHURCH RESTORATION FUND
本主日彌撒領聖體後，為聖堂復原修繕基金籌募，請慷慨捐獻。
There will be a collection for Church Restoration Fund during masses. Please contribute generously.

為紀念四十五年前在本堂舉行首台中文彌撒    For our 45th anniversary of the first Chinese Mass
在二月十二日下主日,本堂為紀念四十五年前在本堂舉行首台中文彌撒,上午十一時舉行彌撒慶祝, 彌撒後随即在堂區中心禮堂舉行茶會和歷史介紹,歡迎教友與親友同來參加.
On February 12th 2012 at 11 am, Mass will be celebrated for our 45th anniversary of the first Chinese Mass held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, refreshments and anniversary history presentation will    be served after    Mass. All parishioners and your families are welcome to participate.

上主日(一月廿九日)春節感恩祭及春節聯歡團拜，得各善會及義工們鼎力合作，完成了各項服務，為教友們提供了各款賀年食品及歌唱等節目，場面熱鬧，喜慶洋溢，極盡賀年氣氛。本堂陳金來主任司鐸與堂區牧民議會同人致以衷心謝意，祈主賜與鴻恩。
Fr. Peter Chin and the Parish Pastoral Council express their sincere thanks to all parish groups and to all volunteers in helping out with the activities and entertainment in our Chinese New Year Celebration on January 29. We enjoyed your Lunar New Year food, goodies, beverages and fruits. May God bless you all abundantly. Thank you!

聖巴拉斯瞻禮     THE FEAST DAY OF ST. BLASE
本堂於本週六及主日(二月四及五日)彌撒後，為教友舉行喉嚨祝福禮儀。
There will be the blessing of throats on February 4 and 5 (Saturday and Sunday) after masses.

聖若瑟會     ST. JOSEPH SOCIETY
聖若瑟會會友將於本主日(二月五日)上午十一時彌撒後，留步聖堂敬禮主保大聖若瑟，為已亡會友及先祖祈禱，隨後在聖若瑟堂(廿三室)開生日會。
After the 11:00am mass today, February 5 St. Joseph Society will say their prayers to honor St. Joseph, deceased members and ancestors. Birthday party and will be held in St. Joseph Hall (Room 23) afterwards.

聖灰禮儀星期三         ASH WEDNESDAY
二月廿二日為聖灰禮儀星期三，本堂定於該日上午十一時舉行感恩祭(只舉行一台)，祝聖聖灰及教友領聖灰，以示四旬期開始，感念耶穌基督之苦難，並準備心靈去善渡四旬期。聖灰禮儀星期三，教友有本份守大小齋。凡足十四歲之教友，應守小齋﹔足十八歲至五十九歲之教友應守大小齋。教友如在當日未能領聖灰者，可在往後之主日提前彌撒(二月廿五日)及主日(二月廿六日)兩台彌撒後，補領聖灰。
One mass will be held at 11:00am and on Ash Wednesday (February 22nd 2012). Ashes will be blessed and distributed. This begins our Lenten season in preparation for the joy of Easter. Parishioners have the obligation of fasting and abstinence from meat on Ash Wednesday. Abstinence is required for those 14 years and older, and Fasting is required from ages 18 to 59 years. Those who miss the Ash Wednesday Mass but wish to receive the blessed ashes can do so after the Saturday Vigil Mass on February 25 and after the Sunday Masses on February 26.

教友可於下列日期及時間在圖書館門前領取2011年奉獻之免稅收條。本堂鼓勵教友或委託親友按時領取。同時，教友之奉獻信封號碼，可在圖書館查閱。(姓氏以英文字母排列)。
Please be noted that Tax Receipt for 2011 will be ready for pick up at the entrance of the Parish Library in the following time schedule. Parishioners can check the donation envelope number at the Parish Library by referring to the roster of which has all the Last names listed in alphabetical order.

We welcome you to take a closer look at the only devotional votive lighted rosary in Canada and it is here at Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s Shrine. Put a 2 dollar coin or any Canadian money note and push the button for the rosary bead that you would like to pray with, for Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s intercession. The bead will light up and you are offering your devotional lighted rosary to Our Lady. When many of us start lighting the beads of the rosary, even when we need to be away, the lighted rosary will still go on and our saying the rosary will continue, raising our heartfelt prayers and needs to Our Lady in Heaven.    This devotional lighted rosary of our prayerful gift to Our Lady of Mount Carmel is in celebration of the 145 year of this church and the 45 years of the first Chinese Catholic Church in the Archdiocese of Toronto.
